Back in March 2021, the Greater London Authority launched the ‘High Streets for All Challenge’, asking local communities to ‘reimagine their high street’.
That’s exactly what we’ve begun with Romford.
In May 2021, Havering Changing submitted a High Streets for All Challenge proposal for Romford High Street on behalf of the local community. This proposal was accepted, and the residents of Romford have now been invited to submit a bid for the next stage of the project, with up to £300,000 of funding for community projects on the High Street up for grabs.
